Price: $75 inc. cafe lunch & coffee, snacks & refreshments, garden entries.
Bring: own ebike & helmet, water if needed. All riders in the group must be confident at riding bikes on busy streets and unpaved walkways.
Grab your ebike and join us on an informative and flavoursome guided tour. Start the morning with a complimentary coffee at Federal Store while you meet and greet the crew and go over the route. We’ll pedal through a mix of the city's walkways, streets and lesser known shortcuts through native bush and via several community gardens.
Along the way we’ll enjoy a snack, rest the legs and engage the mind as we visit three urban Sustainable Backyards - Sow Sweet, Wellies n Worms and Bumblebee Bakery. Garden hosts will deliver informative tours, discuss their harvest, kaupapa and we’ll pick up ideas for growing and preserving produce.
At our final destination we’ll listen to tips from biking experts, ask questions, and share our favourite adventures - all while enjoying delicious kai from Green Door Cafe. Returning to the meet spot is an easy and scenic pedal along the Coastal Walkway.
